Once Upon a Midnight Dreary

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I browsed through Facebook bleary,
Reading many a quaint and curious opinions on political lore-
While I scrolled and held back fury suddenly I heard a scurry
As of something softly running, in my attic back and forth.
“Tis the wind,” I muttered, “blowing hard in from the North-
Only this and nothing more.”
Ah, distinctly I remember towards the end of last November;
And then again in mid December these noises I had heard before.
Focused now sat I intently, listening for sounds presently
Movement coming oh so softly- movement I cannot ignore.
The source of this I must explore.
Down the hallway, I went lurking for the source of this noise searching
For what entity usurping tranquil peace that was no more.
To the attic my ears lead me, peering in to see what might be
Moving in the attic freely, making sounds heard heretofore.
Shadows here, and nothing more.
The noise now seemed to be retreating, so I thought try some sleeping
Hoping that this creature creeping found its way to the outdoors.
For thirty minutes I lay napping until again there came a tapping
Or perhaps it was a flapping, this time louder than before.
“I’ve had enough,” I loudly swore.
To Google I sent out my plea to find someone that might help me
Someone to make my home pest free and return the peace I had once more.
I found a guy with great reviews and called him up to share the news
Requested that he might defuse the disturbance I had called him for.
Waldner Wildlife knocked upon the door.
Steve removed my furred tormentor and made it so no more may enter
No more my home will be the center of late night noises I deplore.
If you, like me, are by critters invaded then I advise you do what I did
And from Steve you will be aided, peace in the house to be restored.
Call Waldner Wildlife, and nothing more.
