Oh! The Places You'll Go

Congratulations!
Tonight is your night.
The weather is warming,
Now you’re off for a flight!
You have wings for your hands.
You can squeeze through that gap.
You can go fly about
After a long winter nap.
You took a wrong turn and now someone is screaming.
You circle round the room, searching how to be leaving.
You’ll make laps round the house and stop to land on a chair
Then in through the door, this guy Steve arrives there.
With gloves on his hands and a net by his side
You get scooped up fast and taken outside.
The time’s finally come,
To search for a meal.
Up up and away
You fly off with zeal.
Soon though you’ll have to find a new home
As Steve seals off your old sleeping zone.
At least you will not have to travel too far,
There is a nice attic there in the house right next door.
